Verdict

Carro Lad had 29 runs between the flags without winning and has been placed twice in nine outings under Rules. A Decent Excuse made a bright start in handicaps over hurdles when just failing to last out over 3m at Roscommon. This looks his trip and it will be a surprise if he's not involved. Fairly Definite has bits of form but isn't the most consistent while Lucky Pigeon continues to rise through the ratings without winning. JACK THE HAT was having his first start since December when scoring convincingly at Wexford last month. The quicker ground may have been responsible but he'd performed with credit on heavy going last year and can continue on the upgrade.
