In depth

Verdict

Sweet Cassie had shown virtually nothing before Limerick last month which is why she went off a 100/1 chance. However, she proved those odds all wrong with a cracking effort, failing by just under 4 lengths to catch Laureate. Back in fourth that day was Friary Gold, who is 0-24. He's since run much better when stepped up to 2m4f at Kilbeggan and that could be his trip. TRENCHTOWN ROCK hasn't been seen since October but was in good form for much of last season and this is his trip and ground so he gets the nod. Zinat ran her best race to date over timber when making most at Tramore on New Year's Day where she was only caught in the closing stages so a repeat would put her in the firing line.
