In depth

Verdict

LONG LIVE THE KING stepped up in trip at Tipperary and made all to land a maiden in convincing fashion. This is much tougher but he's going the right way and can complete the double. Vastonea made a winning start at Leopardstown in October and made an encouraging reappearance at Cork. He'll improve for the run and looks a threat as does Wexford winner Quaintly, who ran very well behind Minsk at the Curragh subsequently. Why But Why came with a powerful late burst to score over 1m2f at Fairyhouse so the extra furlong here looks ideal and he should go well.
