Verdict

Not the easiest of starts but BULGADEN has ben making steady progress and won't have to improve much on his close second to Discoteca at Cork to gain his first success. Groomed ran very well when runner-up at Wexford in March but poorly when strongly fancied to go one better at Tramore last time. Faustina Pius showed her first sign of ability behind Authinger at Tramore and wouldn't need to improve much to take a hand but Why But Why could find this ground too testing on his first start since October. The former John Gosden-trained Man Of God and the ex-John Oxx inmate Swampfire are interesting newcomers.
