In depth

Verdict

THE GAME CHANGER (NAP) has seen Douvan disappearing over the horizon in his last three starts, all at Grade 1 level, but he'd previously completed a hat-trick in three Grade 3s and with the ground coming in his favour he can get back on track. His stablemate Clarcam has also been competing in the highest class and performing with credit but Bryan Cooper picks the selection on this occasion. Maggio bounced right back to his best with a shock victory in a Listed handicap at Aintree though this looks tougher as Viconte Du Noyer also ran a cracking race in the Grade 3 Red Rum Handicap there.
