Verdict

Dermot Weld saddles two though Pat Smullen's presence suggests MUZBID is expected to do better than the newcomer Furud and his mount can take this after a promising start at Cork where he didn't get the best of runs. Diarist has been staying on over 7f on his last two starts and his stable remain in good form while Kendwar, who had looked a likely future winner when runner-up at Tipperary, wasn't on his best behaviour at Navan next time. The newcomer Nigg Bay has a very speedy pedigree so it's a surprise to see him starting out over a mile.
