Verdict

Shady Operator is better known for his exploits over banks courses but started favourite when landing this a year ago and is only 3lb higher. His stablemate Champagne Platinum fell at Punchestown but had earlier run well in several major handicaps. Darrens Hope is still in the novice stage but was impressive at Tipperary and makes her handicap debut on a fair mark. RECITE A PRAYER (NAP) has come steadily through the ranks and might have won a Grade B handicap at the Punchestown festival but for a bad mistake at the last. He looks progressive enough to go one better though Fox Watch and Presenting Point are two to watch at the bottom of the handicap as both are on hat-tricks.
