Verdict
The vastly experienced SIMENON should have no problems returning to winning ways on the level after his two recent victories over hurdles. It seems a long time since his dual Royal Ascot victories and his placed effort in the Melbourne Cup but he's still a force to be reckoned with and Patrick Mullins can gain his first victory on him. Zafayan, who won a maiden hurdle at this fixture a year ago, never showed in two races at Galway last month though he has some smart form to his credit including a close third in last year's Chester Cup. The Winkler is a smart hurdler and novice chaser who can give a good account but the remainder look outclassed.
