Verdict

DUKE OF ORMOND clearly relished the switch to fences, winning by seven lengths on his debut over the larger obstacles at Market Rasen. There should be more to come from this former winning pointer and he is taken to defy his penalty. Master D'Or won over this trip at Uttoxeter in January and finished third off this mark at Lingfield last month. He is in decent form and should go well again but Billy Murphy has been struggling to get his head in front, though was just beaten off today's mark at Folkestone in December. Beware Chalk Pit won at Plumpton in November but subsequent performances have left something to be desired.
