      Verdict

Gaval must have every chance of following up last week’s course and distance victory under a penalty but handicap debutant CHATOYER should make a race of it if taking a further step forward from his much-improved third at Doncaster. Mad Endeavour is back on a winning mark and shouldn’t be far away either but more is needed from Quintus Cerialis, still a maiden on Turf despite a close second here last month, and Manipura. Fleckerl is better on the all-weather.
