In depth

Verdict

The City's Phantom made an impressive winning reappearance at Yarmouth in April but has struggled off higher marks since. Jean Baptiste’s run at Newcastle last month wasn’t his form but it would be no surprise to see JUST FINE (NAP) pop up here as he’s been thereabouts in better contests this year racing off higher marks and can reverse Goodwood running with Kenzai Warrior. Noble Mark needs to settle better if he is to get home over this longer trip and Mr Professor is also probably best over a strongly-run mile. Sea The Casper looked in the handicapper’s grip at Newbury.
