Verdict

Smugglers Gold gets a first-time visor after a modest debut at Lingfield, but Scargill showed more promise when fourth to Mick's Yer Man at Mussleburgh last week. The latter is trained by Bill Turner and he runs Posh Bounty here, although a couple of the other newcomers are of more interest. Beau Nash is one of those as he's a half-brother to five winners and makes more appeal than both Cockney Bob and Master Carpenter. However, PETERKIN is out of a Group 2 winning sprinter in Australia and it's Mark Johnston's colt that gets the speculative vote to make a winning debut.
