In depth

Verdict

Local Fancy, Gee Four and Superior Star are the three to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Local Fancy. The selection caught the eye on her racecourse debut when she finished fourth behind Sounds Simla at Warwick last month. She ran green that day but she seemed to be getting the hang of things in the closing stages and if she can improve for that run then she looks to have a leading chance here. Gee Four is a well-bred colt and should be noted in the market because it would be no surprise to see him go well on his racecourse debut. Superior Star is another well-bred newcomer from a yard that merits plenty of respect, and he is another that is worth noting in the market. Most Famous is the other to consider as she was outclassed in the Brocklesby at Doncaster last time, but she will find this much easier and can't be ruled out. However, for the winner we will stick with the potentially smart Local Fancy who has a good draw and should take plenty of beating.
