In depth
Verdict
Doris Souter, has become disappointing and may be better in handicaps, while Melody Master will be suited by this step up in trip, but he too doesn't look good enough to win a maiden, and may do better in a handicap. Fiveoclock Express is a good looking colt, but he was very much in need of the outing when making his debut here last week and while the step up in trip will be in his favour, he may need another race before he is ready. Admiral Fitzroy caught the eye here on his debut. He wasn't knocked around when his chance had gone and can repay the kindness. Both Cathy Ruan and Little Venice, shaped quite nicely on their debut's at Windsor, without ever looking likely to take a hand in the finish and they will leave that running behind them in due course.
