In depth

Verdict

A dire affair in which Ligne D'Eau has least negatives amongst a range of out-of-form and hard to win with performers. Ligne D'Eau ran a reasonable enough race against Saxon Lil at Chepstow in non-selling grade. This is her first drop into this class but the way she runs suggests that Jamie Spencer is the ideal man for the job. Mytton's Bell is difficult to win with but certianly not devoid of ability. The trip is something of an imponderable but the ability to handle the ground is possibly more of a worry. Balthasar is on to his third trainer already but is there with chances on official BHB figures. Inka Dancer has shown little this year but trainer Bryn Palling did have a winner earlier in the week so this one is duly watched in the market. Yamato Pink was well held at Brighton on her last start and requires more to win this. Shinko Femme has an interesting booking but continues to curry little favour with slow starts. Slate Grey was beaten here in a similar race. Plenty of runners but few with realistic chances and Ligne D'Eau heads our list.
