      Verdict

      El Astronaute is penalised for a Listed success at Doncaster in June and ran below par at York subsequently when behind the three-year-old runner-up Al Raya. The latter struggled behind Battaash at Goodwood last time but TIS MARVELLOUS finished a creditable fourth to the same horse in the Group 1 King’s Stand at Ascot in June and Clive Cox’ sprinter can take advantage facing his least difficult task of the year so far. Blue De Vega arrives in fine form having recorded a hat-trick of handicap victories but has a bit to find on these terms, as does Caspian Prince.
