Muntazah was only beaten a head on debut at Newmarket by the 98-rated Manaafidh but disappointed on softer ground on his next start at HQ. Dark Forest is progressing with experience but steps up a furlong after his second at Windsor. Take Charge caught the eye at Doncaster in July but it will be interesting to see if there is any money for some nicely-bred newcomers. Derby entry Hammer Gun looks the pick of Sir Michael Stoute's two runners while Godolphin's Chess Master is entered in some valuable races in the next few weeks. But so is PERICLES, who has a cracking pedigree being a son of Danehill Dancer out of a Green Desert mare - he is well worth a second look.
