Verdict

Uncle Norman is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and is back on the same mark after two moderate runs this campaign. Jim Crowley is a strong booking for IFTON, who was making his debut for Ruth Carr when running well at Carlisle. He's been dropped 1lb and has more scope than most of these moderate and exposed performers. Your Mother's Eyes had been racing on the all-weather before reverting to Turf at Brighton and winning comfortably so a 6lb rise shouldn't pose too much of a problem. Defence Treaty hasn't shown much in two starts this season and may need to drop a bit more but Elikapeka has only had four runs and was returning from a couple of months off when running well at Thirsk. The Big House made a promising start for Adrian Nicholls at Wetherby and it wouldn't take much more to get into contention here.
