Verdict
Captain's Log, who goes on any ground, comes here on a hat-trick following two wins at Leicester. A 4lb rise for the latest of those successes is far from harsh so Michael Bell's seven-year-old can be expected to be in the shake-up again. Maid To Perfection has been given a break since last seen out and may be seen to better effect as a result, as also may Known Maneuver. Northside Lodge has more to do, especially on this softer ground, than when winning at Nottingham last time and a better bet may be the James Fanshawe-trained Able Baker Charlie. The three-year-old comes into this in good form and with more improvement to come he holds solid claims.
