Verdict
In the banquet hall of punting, a six-furlong sprint handicap for fillies would not be occupying the top table by any stretch so Lady Justice is offered up as a tentative selection only, with Silver Chime, Sharoura and Tuscan Treaty seen as possibly her biggest dangers. It was a good effort from Silver Chime to beat Glencoe Solas at Newmarket last time and, even though she has been raised three pounds for that, she can go well again. Missus Links ran well at Sandown last time and, lightly raced, can continue to improve, particularly at today's shorter trip. Under My Spell and Amelia have been knocking at the door from her current mark and Lady Justice, who caught the eye when staying on over five furlongs at Nottingham last time, is another to seriously consider, particularly with Kieren Fallon booked and first-time blinkers applied. Bint Royal is a bit in-and-out, Boavista is now rated six-pounds higher than for her sole career win to date, but Sharoura is another that looked to be coming to hand last time over a shorter trip and, with her stable now returning to form, she can also be considered. Of the ones in the bottom half of the weights, Tuscan Treaty remains arguably well-treated based on her best form and was unlucky in running at Brighton last time, and Tamarella is actually 12lbs-lower in the weights than for her win at Bath last April, so can be given a chance on that basis, even though her recent form, as you may have gathered, is, overall, unspectacular. Once again, then, we will side with Lady Justice.
