In depth
Verdict
A really tough race to call and Green Manalishi is only a tentative selection over Hilites, Imperium and Vienna's Boy, who are a trio again the rest that can go close in this company. The same comments however, are leveled at Lualua and Fictional, who have the ability to figure prominently in a race of this nature and cannot be ruled out of reaching the frame. The first named of that duo does have to overcome his tendency to start slowly though and he is reluctantly passed over for that reason. However, we return to Green Manalishi for win only purposes as he has already held his own in some good company this season. The Green Desert colt is a speedy individual that acts well on firm ground - facts that will suit him well as things unfold today. A low draw will do him no harm at all and, if Richard Quinn can bounce him out of the stalls, Green Manalishi may be too hard to catch tonight. Hilites appeals as one to watch from those drawn high and may give the selection the most to do.
