Verdict
CAPE SAFARI has the form in the bag but is taking on one or two lightly-raced sorts who look likely to improve from two to three. The top weight gets the nod as he was pretty impressive when scoring under Kieren Fallon at Southwell just three days ago, which also suggests he has good claims of handling underfoot conditions. Party Line failed to beat a single rival in two of her three juvenile runs but showed promise on the soft when fifth at Newcastle in an ordinary contest. As a daughter of the late Montjeu, she'll appreciate the step up in trip too. Flashman was not supported in any of his three outings last term for his top yard and is another obvious improver for a longer trip, likewise Spanish Fork, although the latter has yet to encounter this ground. Fine Resolve hasn't been seen since disappointing when a short-priced market leader at Lingfield in early January but shouldn't be written off yet.
