    Verdict

Compton Amica came up against the in form Jericho last time and can land this event from Cetti's warbler and Yvanovitch. The selection got going too late in that Towcester contest but still managed to get within six lengths of that prolific winner. She can step up on that performance if put into the race earlier. Cetti's Warbler was made 9/4 favourite for a very competitive event at Towcester last time but fell early on. Her previous effort at Newbury was of a high standard and if she can keep her feet today she will be hard to beat. Top weight Yvanocitch rarely runs a bad race and is sure to be in the firing line again. While best of the others, certainly on last years form, should be Jaffa , but on this occasion Compton Amica looks the pick of the weights and gets the vote.
