          Verdict

          Tough Love, a winner over this trip at Beverley in April, deserves particular credit for his latest effort when fifth in a competitive handicap at York on his latest outing. Tim Easterby's charge was badly drawn on that occasion before being badly hampered when making progress in the straight and appeared most unlucky. The son of Pursuit Of Love should go well with the yard in top form at present while Nottingham maiden winner takes a drop in both class and trip after a creditable effort behind Serieux at the same meeting. Highland Warrior's recent Ayr victory was given a boost by the subsequent success of the runner-up at Nottingham on Saturday while Marshman has a touch of class and will be sharper for his recent return.
