In depth
Verdict
Witchelle, Sweet Pickle and Riquewihr are the three that catch the eye and Witchelle is taken to capitalise on the weight she receives. Twice a winner on the all weather at Lingfield, Riquewihr has run with great credit in defeat on Turf, notably when just failing to catch Zidane at Thirsk. However, recent efforts suggest the handicapper has caught up with him and he may have to settle for a place. Sweet Pickle is an interesting contender, having won twice on the all weather at Southwell this year. She reverts to her Turf rating here and given that she seems to have improved since her last run on Turf here in November, she may be well treated. A Southwell winner last year, Witchelle ran her best race since when finishing a length second at Catterick last time. In the hope that more improvement is forthcoming, Witchelle is taken to go one better.
