In depth
Verdict
Epiphany can defy topweight in the nursery, with Alexander Capetown and Ringarooma seen as the main dangers. Ed Dunlop's filly has not taken long to make her mark, progressing from a debut second at Ascot to go on and open her account at Ayr. Granted, she only prevailed by the narrowest of margins from a 33-1 shot that day, but the daughter of Zafonic possibly found the ground a bit on the fast side, so should be more at home here. With Kieren McEvoy booked to ride, she should make a bold bid to make her first venture into nursery company a winning one. Alexander Capetown has plenty of experience and comes from a stable in good form at present. She can win off her current mark if a fine fourth to Coleorton Dancer at Newmarket the time before last is anything to go by. Ringarooma is another that hails from a yard doing well at present and bids to atone after being a beaten favourite at Catterick. She was a bit too keen that day and is still learning but should also find a race in due course. On this occasion though, Epiphany can prove too strong.
