Verdict
Strike Gold gets the vote here with Oakley Absolute and Songerie put forward as the main dangers. The selection has shown plenty of promise on his two starts to date, and he stepped up on his debut effort to finish a good third behind Press Express last time. This colt is still open to plenty of improvement and with conditions to suit he looks the one to beat. Oakley Absolute rates the main danger as this colt from the Richard Hannon yard looks a nice type on breeding and if there is any market support then it could pay to take the hint. Songerie is another well-bred newcomer and this filly from the Sir Mark Prescott yard is also worthy of plenty of respect, but once again a watching brief on the market is advised for any signs of market confidence. Mystery Lot ran well behind Sharp As A Tack and she is another who looks to be going the right way, so she could have place claims, but for the winner we return to Strike Gold.
