In depth

Verdict

Lula, Midnight Sky and Invincible Lad look the main protagonists in the finale and the nomination is given to Lula. The selection finished second behind Savanagh Forest on her debut at Wolverhampton despite running green. She is sure to improve for the run and although she is clearly nothing special, she should be good enough to win this. Midnight Sky is feared the most on her debut sixth behind Bussel. That form has since been franked and if she is fit after a 243-day break she will not be far away. Invincible Lad was a fair fourth beind Rue Soleil last time and is another with place claims, especially as he improved last time for racing on a softer surface. Lord Of The Reins has had plenty of chances and looks exposed, and in a race where the market will be very informative we will stick with Lula as the tentative choice.
