Verdict
Fine Silver was second on his debut in arguably the best two-year-old race we have seen this season and he can gain his first win here against mainly unraced juveniles. The only other entry to have raced is Mick Channon's Futoo. The trainer has his stable in very good form and he should improve for his debut run, which came at the Newmarket Craven meeting two days after Fine Silver's very good second to David Loder's Hunting Lodge, who looks bound for Royal Ascot. Of the others, Peak To Creek, who cost 50,000gns, is related to winners, while there is plenty of speed in Spliff's pedigree. The same comment applies to Barry Hills' La Cucuracha although Richard Hannon's Back At De Front does not look a likely five-furlong type on his breeding. There is also plenty to like about the pedigree of Andrew Balding's Red Trance, but Fine Silver is given as a fairly confident selection.
