Verdict

Only a small team line up for this handicap and it looks as though AKTIA could be the sole reason as she comes into the race in fine form and is difficult to oppose with both Pelham Cresent and Omaruru the main dangers. The selection bids for a hat-trick after posting wins at Haydock and Yarmouth. She is still only lightly raced and improving with velocity and looks more than capable of defying her six pounds hike in the weights since her latest victory. Pelham Cresent won a handicap at Goodwood off a mark of 75 last season and gets a chance to run off the same rating once again. He had a great year last year winning four times in total but he may find life a bit tougher from now on. Omaruru has been a little in and out this term. He showed promise after finishing a decent second at Hamilton in May but he has since disappointed and for that reason he should be treated with caution. Aktia is the form horse and should have no problem landing his hat-trick.
