Verdict
WEST LEAKE BRIDGE is given the narrow vote ahead of Lord Persia and Alajmal. The selection ran with credit on his debut at Ascot finishing an eye catching fifth of eleven but ran disappointingly at Haydock last time out when sent off favourite. He has been given time to recover since May and will have been well prepared for his come back outing and if back to his best he ought to go close. Lord Persia ran well on his debut at Windsor finishing fifth of fifteen. Ralf Beckett has his team of horses in fine form of late and more can be expected this time around. Of the newcomers Alajmal looks the pick. He is nicely bred and comes from a well respected yard so any market moves should be monitored. West Leake Bridge can put a disappointing run behind him and grab this race in style.
