In depth

Verdict

MIDNIGHT RIVER probably need only reproduce his run behind Does He Know in a Class 2 at Cheltenham last month to defy his penalty as that form is far superior to Delgany Monarch’s third at Lingfield, though Richard Rowe’s improver has place claims again. Fabrique En France placed twice between the flags but makes his debut under Rules, as does Revels Hill who won a maiden at Badbury Rings in February and makes more appeal.
