In depth

Verdict

PRETTY VACANT made a promising start when runner-up at Haydock on his debut. That looks stronger form than Cosmic Beau’s earlier fourth at Doncaster and the latter has disappointed since. Newcomers to keep an eye on in the betting include Mums The Word, who is related to a couple of winners and Rosebride, a half-sister to four winners. The Daley Express is related to winning sprinters and Goodwood Crusader is another to consider with Ryan Moore’s presence in the saddle taking the eye.
