        In depth

        Verdict

        A number of these have not lived up to expectations this term, hence the descent into claiming grade. Kings Academy arguably has the best form in the book although it was disappointing that he could not get closer last time at Yarmouth, whilst Rag Tatter and Jet Setter have both shown ability but continue to frustrate. The former could well be galvanised by the application of first-time cheekpieces but the vote goes to BLACK BUBBA. He's nicely treated by race conditions and has consistently run his race since being gelded last August. He battled on well when just inched out in an above-average Catterick seller five days ago so arrives in good from and can go one better.
