Verdict
Dance The Mambo gets a narrow vote over Helen Wood, Clock House, Hardybuck and Kildee Lass in an open-looking finale. Dance The Mambo revelled in her new-found freedom at Newcastle a fortnight ago, making all in first-time blinkers, and although saddled with a 7lb rise, is taken to follow up, as once again this two-mile trip should not stretch her stamina too much. There are plenty of dangers including Helen Wood who tackles her first handicap over hurdles after being brushed aside by King's Revenge at Lingfield in January. Clock House relished the testing conditions to defy an eight-month break at Wetherby recently, but is not certain to show more improvement, while Kildee Lass has more to do than when tackling selling company here on each of her last two outings. For the winner we return to Dance The Mambo.
