      Verdict

      Silver Mission has a penalty for a battling victory at Ripon but looks certain to make further progress. Always Fearless finished last on his debut but very nearly gained a surprise victory at Haydock, only fading in the closing stages. Dark Regard couldn't get close to the odds-on Byline at Hamilton but that was a good effort and she should be in the frame. but the latter's yard is represented by the 160,000gns YORKSHIRE GOLD, the first foal of a 7f winner who should be ideally suited by this trip on his debut and gets the vote.
