Verdict

POINT GELLIBRAND, beaten a short-head by subsequent Group 2 winner Atomic Jones on fast ground at the Curragh on his debut, wasn't disgraced in the Group 2 Futurity back there on softer ground and looks the one to beat before heading to better things. Janoobi has moved from Mark Johnston where he was beaten five lengths in a Nottingham maiden last October while Hotel Wren chased home the odds-on Pirate Jenny over 6f at Cork. Minister Of War, a half-brother to two winners, showed only moderate form in two starts last season but is much more likely to do better as a three-year-old. Stablemate Samuel Pepys is by Galileo out of Cheveley Park winner Tiggy Wiggy, who has produced winners with her first two offspring.
