In depth

Verdict

Soaring Sky, a winner over an extended 1m3f at Limerick, found 1m2f too short when runner-up in the Ulster Oaks at Down Royal. She had IOWA three lengths behind in that Limerick event but the latter finally put some frustrating runs behind him in the Ulster Derby and though 10lb higher can continue his progress. Tudor City, last year's Galway Hurdle winner, has slipped to a very fair mark on the level but Hook Head's course victory came over 1m7f and this looks on the short side. Dancing Approach looked one to follow when scoring over 1m2f here on her first start for Joseph O'Brien but has failed to fire from her raised mark.
