In depth

Verdict

EAGLEFIELD makes a very quick reappearance after finishing runner-up to the well-supported Texas Moon at Gowran on Wednesday. Normal progress can see him go one better at the expense of Jeroboam. Aidan O'Brien's colt was also beaten by a well-backed winner at Dundalk where he attempted to make all but was caught inside the final furlong. Emilie Gray made a very promising debut in testing ground at the Curragh but didn't appreciate the fast going at Cork so some rain would aid her cause. Baldomero, a 150,000gns yearling, went for three times that amount at the Arqana Breeze-up Sales last summer and will be expected to do very much better than he showed at Dundalk in October.
