Verdict

Three-year-olds have won two of the last five and ST PATRICK'S DAY can add to the tally. He ran just twice for Bob Baffert on Dirt at Del Mar in September beating Instilled Regard, who finished fourth in the Kentucky Derby at the weekend, in the second of them. He's in all the top sprints and looks a top-class addition to the Ballydoyle team. His stable companion Full Moon looks up against it but True Valour could take advantage if the selection doesn't come up to scratch. Johnny Murtagh's charge was only beaten narrowly in a Group 2 over a mile here last summer and a repeat of that would see him in the frame. Smash Williams hasn't won since his two-year-old days but generally performs with credit and had Ardhoomey behind in the Group 2 Greenlands over 6f at the Curragh last time.
