Verdict

Gooseberry Fool's narrow victory in a Kempton maiden wouldn't be good enough for this but there should be much more to come from this superbly bred filly and her trainer doesn't waste money on pointless journeys. La Collina is highly regarded and was an impressive debut winner when well supported at Limerick. She is entered in Group 1 races later and must be a threat. Somasach had a short-head to spare over Experience on her debut at Tipperary but was beaten by that rival at the Curragh last time. In-between she ran moderately in the Queen Mary at Ascot but Kevin Manning rides her rather than newcomer Miss Dylan so presumably she's the stable pick. MAYBE puts her unbeaten record on the line and it will be a surprise if she can't complete a hat-trick after her impressive success in the Chesham Stakes at Ascot where she never looked in any real danger. The form hasn't worked out and she'll be a short price here but it will take a big effort to beat her.
