Verdict

THE GREY GATSBY made a satisfactory debut for Dermot Weld after a long break when a close fourth behind Johannes Vermeer in a Curragh Group 3 earlier this month. The former Kevin Ryan-trained Group 1 winner, who had his big day when beating Australia in the Irish Champion Stakes here in 2014, should now be ready to start making up for lost time. Deauville has been running superbly with a close third behind Ribchester in the Queen Anne Stakes the latest highlight and he's an obvious threat. Brendan Bracken continues in top form and won a Listed contest here last month though he's always at his best with some give in the ground. Moonlight Magic was in front of the selection at the Curragh though had the benefit of earlier runs and may not be up to confirming the form and though Tennessee Wildcat is in good form he has a bit to do against these.
