Verdict

Desert Of Dreams hasn't done much wrong in both starts on this track and may have found 7f too far last time. PEDRO THE GREAT made his debut in a Listed event at Naas won by Dawn Approach, who landed the Coventry Stakes on Tuesday. Aidan O'Brien's colt didn't get competitive that day but showed promise and this represents a big drop in grade. The winner, trained by Jim Bolger, is by New Approach as is today's newcomer Wexford Opera, a half-brother to the stable's Glor Na Mara while the once-raced Tobann also represents the yard and didn't run badly on her debut at Fairyhouse. John Oxx won this a year ago so Sharkayla, whose dam was placed in a Listed contest over this trip as a juvenile, is one to note.
