Verdict

It's round five of the HURRICANE FLY versus Solwhit saga and the latter has a very difficult task in retaining the crown he won here a year ago. Charles Byrnes' star had beaten his great rival in the 2009 Punchestown Hurdle before taking this but Willie Mullins' brilliant timber-topper has taken his revenge in their three subsequent outings, looking better with each run. All ground appears to come alike to him and the Byrnes camp will need to find some special tactics to upset the favourite this time. The remainder are all class performers but have been regularly beaten by the leading pair and there appears no reason for a role reversal this time.
