In depth

Verdict

This could prove yet another battle between the Bolger and O'Brien yards. SALTHOUSE landed a maiden over the course and distance in good style before just failing over an extra quarter-mile in a very strong handicap at the Curragh. He looks progressive and can get back to winning ways at the expense of Cradle Mountain, who has run consistently at this level and has also been tried in Listed events. Xebec has disappointed since his maiden victory at Sligo in heavy conditions but like Castle Guest, who loves it around here, he would enter the equation if the going turned soft.
