In depth

Verdict

An intriguing bumper with some interesting newcomers taking on five entries who have performed with credit. Alamein came up against a very impressive winner in the subsequent Ascot Group 2 winner Forgotten Rules at Punchestown while Falcon Crest ran very well against the well regarded Bordini on the same track last month. Mighty Concorde also ran there three weeks ago when a close fourth in what looked a strong event where he looked very much in need of the experience. Space Cadet surprisingly runs here after a promising start behind the long odds-on Milsean over hurdles at Navan and the filly Mozilla showed very good pace for a long way at Limerick. EASY STREET is a half-brother to three winning bumpers and will know his job so he gets the vote ahead of fellow newcomer First Figaro, who is the tenth foal of a mare who has already produced eight winners.
