VEDETTARIAT, a winning point-to-pointer, did very well over hurdles and looks a very nice type for staying races over fences so can make a winning start. The five-year-old Shantou Flyer is another potentially useful chaser as he contested pattern races over timber after landing a maiden at Downpatrick and generally performed with credit. The age allowance should enable him to get into contention while Flaming Dawn already has chasing experience having come up against some smart opposition. Is Love Alive, a winner between the flags, won a maiden hurdle at Leopardstown last March and though well beaten on his chasing bow in December should have much more to offer.
