In depth

Verdict

Flat To The Max has disappointed despite a victory on good going at Gowran in November as he arrived with a big reputation after winning his only start on the Flat. He has a penalty to carry which may hand the initiative to ROCKY SHORES. A 50/1 chance on his hurdling bow at Leopardstown, he ran well behind Sir Erec and again performed with credit when third at Fairyhouse last month. Coral Blue has been going quite well on quick ground but was well beaten on his only start in these conditions while Colour Me In, who ran a cracking race for a 100/1 chance when a close fourth at Cork, has been well beaten in both subsequent starts.
