Verdict

Four of these already have an official rating and, according the handicapper, Jacobean is the best of those. But he hasn't really built on a fourth in last year's Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster and it's anybody's guess whether he'll appreciate the drop in trip or much quicker surface, though maybe a tongue-tie will help him recapture his best form. There are no concerns over ground or trip regarding CHENEGA BAY, who will surely find a similar contest before much longer on recent evidence. Ger Lyon's charge is preferred to Fairyhouse third Mutadhamen and Seaforth. Current State has some improving to do and neither of the newcomers make much appeal in what is probably a decent maiden.
