Verdict

RUSSIAN ROYALE was the subject of a gamble at Perth 12 days ago and didn't disappoint. His yard is going really well and it seems a sensible policy to turn him out again quickly under a penalty. Oneofapear was only head at the last when third over a longer trip here two weeks ago and will be hard to keep out of the places again. Stablemate Tennessee Bird was fourth at Uttoxeter last week but needs to brush up his jumping and is a long-standing maiden.
